Welcome back to the normal routines.

After having a long and hopefully an enjoyable Eid holidays, you are
now cordially invited to ISDEV programmes as usual. The details of the
ISDEV programmes for October 2008 are listed in ISDEVNEWS at

1. ISDEV Lecture Series VII entitled "MALAY-MUSLIM POLITICS: PROBLEMS
AND SOLUTIONS" to be delivered by TAN SRI DATO' MUHYIDDIN MOHD YASSIN
(Minister of International Trade and Industries Malaysia) on 21
OCTOBER 2008 (Tuesday), 10.00am at Dewan Budaya USM, Penang.

2. A new programme, QURANIC ARABIC to be taught by DR ABDUUL HAMEED
KHAN ABBASI (ISDEV Post-Doctoral Fellow from Department of Quran and
Tafseer, Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Allama Iqbal Open
University, Pakistan) to be held at ISDEV every Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 9.00am till 10.00am beginning TUESDAY 14 OCTOBER 2008.
